About Institution

Sankardev Institute of Engineering and Management was established in 2008 under Society Registration Act, XXI of 1860 . It is a non - profit organisation purely dedicated to improve the education scenario of Assam and North-East Region. The institution endeavours to lift the carrier of students of North-East region to make them a perfect technocrat. The engineering degrees namely Civil and Architecture are awarded by the Govt. regulated institution i.e.; “The Institution of Civil Engineers (India)” and the Management, Information Technology and General Education degrees are awarded by Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciencs (SHIATS) formerly Allahabad Agricultural Institute-Deemed University, Allahabad. The Institution is also offering classroom programmes for Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Science & Engineering under “The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers” (IETE), New Delhi which is recognised by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, UPSC,, GATE.

FACULTY: Institute is having well qualified personnel of all the courses who are the specialist of their subject. The faculty members are highly focused towards the educational requirement of students.

HOSTEL ACOMODATION: Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls at cheaper rate to provide them a good environment and hygienic food so that they can feel homely atmosphere.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

(1) No entrance examination and no capitation fees is required to get the admission to our Institute.
(2) Admissions are opened for both boys and girls on “First Come First Serve” basis for all branches. 5 seats per streams are reserved for girls.
(3) The applicant should have good moral value & character throughout his/her academic record.
(4) No percentage restriction exists for admission in any branch.
(5) All the original documents are required to be submitted at the time of admission which will be returned after complete verification.

FEES STRUCTURE

(1) Admission Fees is Rs.10,000/- for Engineering courses and Rs. 2000/- for Management, IT, General Education, Humanities & Commerce which may be revised from time to time.
(2) Rest of the amount have to be paid semester wise.
(3) The student has to pay all the fees either in cash or demand draft.
(4) The trade once opted by the student cannot be changed.
(5) Hostel fees is to be paid extra which is revised from time to time.
(6) The admission fees paid for hostel is neither refundable nor adjustable.
(7) Admission fees or any other fees is neither refundable nor adjustable.
(8) Registration fees, Examination fees, Subscription charges, Postal charges should be paid by the student as per the norm of Govt. Regulatory bodies.

RAINING & PLACEMENT

The Institute is having the tie up with various organizations for the practical training of the students. It helps to improve the technical skill of students and make them confident.

After the completion of course the student (Degree) can compete in GATE for higher studies or can compete for various Govt. and Private jobs. Those who have successfully completed section A & B examination of the society are occupying responsible post in Hindustan Aeronautics, Railways, Defence Research and Development Organization, Airtel, Wipro etc.

LIBRARY: The Institute has a well organized library containing numerous text books, reference books, solved paper, Technical news, magazine, books, General knowledge books etc. Each student is provided with library membership Card for the issue of books for the duration of one week per issue.

WORKSHOP: The Institute has well equipped electronics lab and computer lab for practical training. Elaborate lecture on modern techniques in the field of instrumentation and measurements are delivered for the value addition to practical knowledge.

INTERNET: The Institute is providing 24 hours unlimited broadband internet facility to the students.

ADDITIONAL COURSES: The institute also offers various personality development programmes to students for making them impressive personalities in addition to skilled technocrats.
