THE BLUE MOUNTAIN (PHAWNGPUI)
Phawngpui – the highest peak in Mizoram – is the habitat of exotic flora and fauna. In fact, many medicinal plants grow naturally in Phawngpui. Tourists flock to this place to also have a glimpse of the beautiful daphnia flower as well as the wild orchids.
The enigmatic Blue Mountain adjoins Myanmar. Phawngpui is 2,157 meters above the sea level. Phawngpui is 300 km from the state capital Aizawl. Phawngpui falls within Saiha District – the southern-most portion of Mizoram.
