WILDLIFE PROTECTED PARKS & SANCTURIES

The main natural parks and sanctuaries of Assam are the Manas National Park, the Pobitora sanctuary and the Kaziranga National Park.

Each of them has a lot to offer to the adventurous discerning tourist.

There are food and lodging facilities. You need to stay for at least a week in any of these natural wildlife sites to actually savor the magic of Mother Nature.

There are many conducted tours to these sites from Guwahati. There are many packages to pick up from.

THE MANAS NATIONAL PARK

The Manas National Park in Assam is known for its scenic beauty. The wide expanse of the Manas River and the white rocks that break the waves into are special treat for the eyes.

The Manas National Park stretches into the Bhutan border.

THE POBITORA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

The Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is the habitat of the various types of stocks. The Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary is located a few distances away from the gateway to the North East.

It is in Morigaon district.
